Steve Mayo Announces Retirement from Certas Lubricant Solutions

Certas Lubricant Solutions proudly announces the retirement of Steve Mayo, a distinguished leader whose career in the lubricants industry has spanned over three decades. Steve’s retirement marks the end of an era, highlighting a journey of dedication, innovation, and significant contributions to the field.

Steve Mayo began his illustrious career in the lubricants industry in 1989, quickly establishing himself as a knowledgeable and reliable professional. His expertise and commitment to excellence propelled him through various pivotal roles within the industry, working in Polartech, and Quaker Houghton for a number of years, before culminating in his latest position of European Managing Director of Certas Lubricant Solutions. Under his guidance, the company has seen remarkable growth and has solidified its position as a market leader.  

Throughout his career, Steve has been instrumental in driving advancements in lubricant technology and fostering strong industry relationships. His leadership style, characterised by strategic vision and collaborative approach, has inspired many in the industry. As a testament to his influence, Steve was elected President of the UK Lubricants Association (UKLA), where he served with distinction for several years. 

During his tenure as President of the UKLA, Steve Mayo championed numerous initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, innovation, and best practices within the lubricants sector. His efforts have not only enhanced the reputation of the UKLA but have also contributed to the overall progress and modernisation of the industry. Steve’s tenure is marked by successful advocacy for regulatory improvements, increased industry collaboration, and the promotion of educational programs for upcoming industry professionals and the development and encouragement of young talent into the industry.
